National Electric Vehicle Meeting (ENVE 2026) – Portugal ENVE 2026

The Portuguese Association of Electric Vehicle Users (UVE – Associação de Utilizadores de Veículos Elétricos) has officially announced that ENVE 2026 – the National Electric Vehicle Meeting – will be held in Guimarães on 19 and 20 September 2026.

The selection of Guimarães as host of Portugal’s largest event dedicated to electric mobility reflects the city’s sustained progress in sustainability and energy transition policies. The fact that Guimarães will hold the title of European Green Capital in 2026 was a decisive factor in choosing the host city, highlighting the municipality’s strong commitment to environmental policies and to cleaner, more efficient and accessible mobility solutions.

In the official announcement video, Ricardo Araújo, Mayor of Guimarães, highlighted the significance of the city’s selection to host the event:

“Guimarães is the European Green Capital in 2026. In this context, we have been selected to host the National Electric Vehicle Meeting, one of the largest national and international gatherings on electric mobility.”

The President of UVE, Pedro Faria, also emphasised the enthusiasm surrounding this edition:

“The choice of Guimarães for ENVE 2026 was natural. Being the European Green Capital in 2026 demonstrates the city’s commitment to sustainability and the energy transition. We are confident this will be a memorable edition, bringing together the entire electric mobility community.”

As usual, ENVE will bring together electric vehicle users, automotive manufacturers, charging network operators, technology companies, public entities and sector experts, featuring a diverse programme including exhibitions, test drives, debates and activities for the whole family.

UVE also highlights the symbolic importance of Guimarães as European Green Capital, stating that “there could be no better place to host ENVE 2026 and celebrate electric mobility in such a values-aligned context.”

All electric mobility users and enthusiasts are invited to attend in Guimarães in September 2026, for an edition that promises two full days of innovation, experiences and new developments. In 2026, Guimarães stands out as a leading territory in clean energy and sustainable mobility. The organisers will release further details in the coming months regarding the programme, partners, registration and planned activities for ENVE 2026.
