Hrvatska udruga eMobilnosti (HUEM) is a Croatian national association of professionals, drivers, and enthusiasts, founded to popularize, educate, and inform the public about electric vehicles and sustainable mobility.
HUEM is the leading association in this part of Europe, bringing together experts in electromobility, energy, and sustainable technologies who shape the future of clean transport. The association brings together a diverse membership: charging infrastructure operators, professional companies specializing in electric vehicles, university staff, drivers, and advocates of the energy transition.
The motivation for founding HUEM came from a long-standing desire among EV owners and industry professionals to establish an organization that would systematically address the key challenges of electromobility in Croatia — from the lack of a coherent national strategy and poor implementation of subsidies, to low EV sales and uneven charging infrastructure development. The goal was to create an independent, expert voice for the community — one that drives change, offers solutions, and actively shapes the e-mobility market.
HUEM’s mission is to promote the development of electromobility in Croatia through education, collaboration, knowledge-sharing, encouragement of infrastructure investment, and advocacy for sustainable and accessible solutions for all.
The association operates within a challenging but opportunity-rich landscape. Croatia currently ranks among the lower-performing EU member states in terms of the share of renewable energy in transport and EV sales penetration. HUEM sees this gap not as a barrier but as an opportunity — and actively works with industry stakeholders, public institutions, and international partners to accelerate Croatia’s energy transition.
Through its platform at emobilnost.hr, HUEM serves as a central hub for the Croatian EV community, providing practical guidance, market analysis, regulatory updates, and a space for professionals and enthusiasts to connect and collaborate.
